Centre for Women and Law organized a discussion on Dowry

A discussion on the theme "Dowry, A Decadent Practice - A Deficit of Legal System", organized by the Centre for Women & Law of the College has been inaugurated by the Hon'ble Minister for Higher Education Smt. Dr. R. Bindu today at 4.00 PM. The Chairperson of the discussion has been Rtd. Justice K. Hema, High Court of Kerala. the panelists were Dr. James Vadakkumchery, Criminologists, Faculty State Police Training College, Adv. Jasmin V H, High Court of Kerala, and Ms. Sonia George, Secretary, SEWA (Self Employed Women's Association). Ms. Amritha Satheesan, Research Scholar, School of Legal Studies, Central University of Kerala and Ms. Kasthuri Ajith, LLM student of the College have played the role of moderators. the discussion ended at 6.00 PM.
