REGULATIONS FOR GRANTING OF SCHOLARSHIP FOR BA/BBA/BCOM LLB STUDENTS

Scholarship is a grant in aid provided to support the students who need financial assistance to exceptional students, who are excellent in academic. To support such needy and academic scholars, the college with support from philanthropist has instituted various scholarships.

  1. The scholarship can be availed only by a regular student enrolled in BA/BBA/BCom LLB undergraduate course of study.
  2. The Scholarship shall be given as tuition fees for selected students.
  3. The students who opt for scholarship shall apply in the prescribed application form (Annexure A).
  4. There shall be a scholarship scrutiny committee nominated by the College Council, which shall recommend the students list eligible for receiving scholarship. The scholarship scrutiny committee shall serve as mentors and periodically review the performance of the scholarship holders.
  5. Payment and Continuation of Scholarship: Scholarships for 1st and 2nd years are paid together in the second year of the students’ undergraduate course. The Scholarship is paid based on following criteria:
  6. 12th standard examination results of respective Boards.
  7. Continuation in second year course BA/BBA/BCom LLB and Performance Report.
  8. More than 85% attendance in classes.
  9. pass in all subjects in first attempt.

 

  1. If the student has failed or could not attend the semester examination(s) in that year due to valid reason, the Scholarship for the next academic year shall not be paid. However, scholarship shall be released for the next-to-next academic year, provided the students’ academic performance in next academic year is within the aforesaid eligibility norms.
  2. The scholarship shall be cancelled if the student is punished for any disciplinary issues or involves himself in any of issues such as ragging, criminal cases, atrocities against women, drug, or narcotics substances cases, or of similar nature.
  3. Students are advised to submit their yearly Mark-sheets and Performance Report on time, with the application form for availing the scholarship. However, keeping in view the diverse time schedules (late session) of the examinations in university, it is advised to submit the same as and when the scholarship holder results are announced.
  4. For the Merit cum means scholarship following additional criteria must be fulfilled.
    1. This scholarship can be availed only by students whose parents’ are financially backward.
    2. The students selected will get this scholarship for the entire period of undergraduate study in the college if the student meets the requirements as per the regulations.
  5. Students who are receiving any other scholarships are not eligible to avail this scholarship.
  6. Failure to fulfil any conditions mentioned above shall be automatically cancel the right to claim scholarship provided by the college.
  7. The students/parents shall sign an undertaking in stamp paper to payback the scholarship amount received, if the student, discontinues the course or is removed from the roll of the college on disciplinary grounds.
  8. The decision of the Principal/Director shall be final and binding regarding award or cancellation of scholarship.
