The Launching of Mar Gregorios College Law Review (MGCLR), a Socio-Legal Resaerch E-Journal held today. Shri K T Jaleel, Hon'ble Minister for Higher Education inaugurated the Law Review in virtual mode at his office in the Secretariat. A law review (or law journal) is a scholarly journal or publication that focuses on a wide array of legal issues. This is a noble initiative taken by the Mar Gregorios College of Law, Mar Ivanios Vidyanagar, Nalanchira, Trivandrum for promoting research and writing articles. The articles are usually written by Law professors, scholars, Lawyers and other scholars including students. The primary function of a law review is to publish scholarly articles in the field of law. The law journals are critical to the proper function of legal systems. They contribute invaluably to the development of law by influencing statutory law reforms and case laws. This Law Review is launched as a realization of the fact that legal institutions, especially law colleges, have responsibilities towards the society in which they exist and must be a source of information and guidance for the same. Along with the E-Journal various research and extension centres have been inaugurated.
