Mar Gregorios College of Law inaugurated its Pro Bono Club on 13 October 2026 under the Government of India’s Designing Innovative Solutions for Holistic Access to Justice (DISHA) 2.0 scheme, which aims to strengthen accessible, inclusive, and technology-enabled legal services across the country.
The programme was graced by Justice C. Pratheep Kumar, former Judge of the High Court, as the Guest of Honour. Mr. Shivam Dwivedi, Programme Manager, Nyaya Bandhu, Department of Justice, Government of India, was also present and delivered an informative address on the functioning of the Pro Bono Club, highlighting its objectives, activities, and role in promoting access to justice.
The inaugural session featured the unveiling of the e-inauguration video and the official poster of the Pro Bono Club. The programme also formally introduced the Pro Bono Club Coordinator, Pro Bono Associates, and Student Coordinators, who will work together to advance the club’s mission through legal aid initiatives, legal awareness programmes, and community outreach activities.
