On October 9, 2024, the Film Club hosted an exciting fashion show and film quiz at the college auditorium from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM. The event was a vibrant celebration of cinema and pop culture, bringing together students from different classes who enthusiastically participated, representing iconic characters from Mollywood, Bollywood, cartoons, and popular television serials.
The highlight of the event was the fashion show, where participants walked the ramp dressed as well-known characters. The students showcased their creativity and passion for cinema through elaborate costumes and performances, impressing the audience with their dedication to embodying each character.
Sriparvathy Unnikrishnan, a student from the 3rd semester BCom, won the first prize for her portrayal of the character Mayavathi, captivating the audience and judges alike with her detailed costume and authentic performance. Bipasha Manoj from the 9th semester BA secured the second prize for her stunning depiction of Nagavalli, a character known for its eerie and dramatic presence in Indian cinema. Alida, from the 3rd semester BA, was awarded the third prize for her charming representation of Karthumbi, showcasing her talent and creativity.
Following the fashion show, a film quiz was conducted, engaging the participants in a fun and competitive challenge. The quiz tested their knowledge of cinema across different genres and eras, adding to the excitement of the event.
