Report on the Inauguration of the Artists Club and Film Club
On October 9, the inauguration of the Artists Club and Film Club took place at the Seminar Hall from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. The event was attended by enthusiastic members of both clubs from all classes, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for aspiring artists and filmmakers within the institution.
The Chief Guest for the event was Premkumar, the Chairman of the Kerala State Chala Chithra Academy, who is also a well-known actor and writer. In his inaugural speech, Premkumar shared his insights on the film industry and encouraged the students to actively engage in creative pursuits. He highlighted the importance of nurturing their talents, reminding them that passion and hard work are key to success in the arts.
The function was presided over by Director Father Joseph Venmanath, who expressed his happiness at the formation of these two clubs. He spoke about the role that art and film play in shaping culture and the potential these platforms have to cultivate the students' creative abilities.
Dr Arya C.A, the Faculty Coordinator for both clubs, played a significant role in organizing the event. In her speech, she explained the vision and objectives of the clubs, focusing on how they would serve as a platform for students to explore and showcase their artistic and cinematic talents. She also thanked everyone for their support in making this initiative possible.
Though present on the dais, Bursar Adarsh Kumbalathu did not deliver a speech but was part of the dignitaries who supported the event with their presence.
The event concluded with great enthusiasm, as the students and faculty looked forward to the exciting activities planned by the clubs, including workshops, screenings, and exhibitions. The inauguration was a promising start, setting the stage for vibrant creative exchanges and artistic growth within the campus.
